20 STEPS
1. This tutorial shows how to create match roles for assigning within your account.
The match roles will appear in a dropdown list within Schedule Resources and are added to Schedules as either mandatory or optional roles for that Schedule.

2. To start, click the arrow next to Settings to expand the dropdown.

3. Click Match Roles

4. Click Add Role

5. Click Match Role Name

6. You can customize Match Role names for your account. For this example, we will use "Referee" as our first match role.
Type in the Match Role Name.

7. Add a Description of this match role if you wish in the Description box.

8. Select the sort order this match role should appear in the dropdown list in other areas of the platform, such as Schedule Resources, the Assignor Workspace, and other areas.

9. For this example, we want the Referee role to appear at the top of the list of match roles, so we will select 1.

10. If this role is an Observed Role, that is, a role that may be watched or evaluated (referees, assistant referees, etc.) move this toggle to the right.

11. If this role is responsible for submitting match reports, move this toggle to the right.
This role will have the option to allow other crew members to contribute to a report they submit within the app. Reserve this function for the primary role.

12. Click Create

13. The match role and its settings are now displayed.
Assigning rules are global assigning rules for each match role, completed elsewhere. Please see the tutorial "Add Global Assigning Rules to Match Roles" for completing this step.

14. Let's add another match role.
Click Add Role.

15. For this example, we will add a Ref Coach.

16. Since we will end up with four on-field match roles, we'll put the Ref Coach as the 5th position in our dropdown list.

17. In contrast to the Referee, the Ref Coach is an Observer Role, that is, a role doing the watching and evaluating (mentors, coaches, assessors, etc.).
Move this toggle to the right.

18. Click Create

19. The Match Role now appears in our list.

20. Thank you for watching the tutorial on creating Match Roles for your account.
