Viewing Sites and Fields: Account-level Sites and All Sites

1. This tutorial will show you how to search for sites in the database. It will also demonstrate features of the interactive menu.

To get started, click on the arrow next to Settings in the menu to expand the dropdown.

2. Click Sites

3. Note the Sites page is only showing the list of Sites that your account is currently referencing in your Competitions and Schedules.

In this example, we will focus on Sites in Michigan.

4. You can sort, search, and filter from any of the columns in the report or set more complex filters from the Actions button.

5. If a Site is "also known as" a different name, it will be listed in the Also Known As column.

6. To do a general Search across all rows and columns, type in your search term in the top search field and hit the Enter key on your keyboard or click Go next to the search bar.

7. Columns are available that list Verified Fields and Unverified Fields for each site being utilized in your account, or within the platform using the All Sites button. Fields can be filtered or sorted using the interactive menu.

8. Verified and Unverified fields associated with a specific Site can also be viewed by clicking the magnifying glass next to a site.

9. A list of verified Field Names and a Description for these Fields is displayed on the right side of the page.

10. Click Cancel to return to the Sites page

11. You can check if your site has been entered into the master database.

To see all sites in the master database, click All Sites.

12. Let's review some of the sort, search, and filter options that are available using the interactive menus.

In this example, let's start by filtering the State. Click on the column heading.

13. You can either scroll down the list or Click inside this Search bar to type in your search term.

14. In this example, we will search for Sites in the State of Michigan

15. Note the filter that now appears at the top of the report, indicating we have a State filter for Michigan applied.

Temporarily remove this filter by unchecking the box on the left or remove the filter entirely by clicking the x on the right.

16. If you want to filter for multiple items, use the more advanced Filter function within the Actions area.

18. Click the dropdown under Column to change the column you will use for your filter.

20. Click Operator to choose how you want the filter to operate.

21. In this example, we want our report to show Michigan or Ohio.

The platform uses the in operator as the equivalent of or.

22. Click the arrow below Expression to show the dropdown list of the Column, in this case, "States".

23. Click Michigan

24. Scroll down and Click Ohio

25. Your choices will be listed in the Expression box, separated by commas.

Click Apply when you have added all your choices.

26. Sites in both Michigan and Ohio are now displayed. Note the filter at the top of the report indicates the States we have chosen in the previous step.

27. Let's focus again on Michigan and add another filter for City.

28. Repeat the same steps as described earlier to look for sites in a specific City.

In this example we will search for Sites in Detroit.

29. Note the filter for Detroit is shown above the report.

30. If you would like to alphabetically sort columns with string variables from A-Z, click on the column heading at the top of the report, then click the up arrow to Sort Ascending.

In this example, we will sort the Site Name alphabetically.

31. In this example, we are sorting the cities from A-Z within Michigan.

32. If you would like to see what Sites are listed for each city in one view, use the Control Break function.

To apply a Control Break, click the Actions button.

33. Click the arrow next to Format, then click Control Break.

34. Click Column 1 to expand the dropdown and display your columns.

35. Click City

36. Click Apply when finished.

37. Your report now shows each City and the Sites within that City.

You can do additional searches and filters from the Control Break report, either from the search bar to look across the report, or from a specific column.

38. For example, you can search by various zip codes or parts of Zip Codes.

Click the column Zip to search and filter Zip Codes.

39. Type what you want to search for in the Filter bar and hit Enter on your keyboard.

40. In this example, we are searching for Sites that have 4 9 3 in the Zip code.

41. Sites are now displayed with this Zip filter.

Click the X to Remove the Filter when finished.

42. If you set up a display you will use often, you can Save it as a Report.

To save your settings as a report, click Actions

43. Click Report then Save Report

44. Type in the Name of your Report and Click Apply

45. We named our report "Sites by City". Click the Reports toggle between the primary default report and your saved reports.

46. Click 1. Primary Report to see the default settings of the All Sites page.

47. Click Reports to see a dropdown list of your saved reports.

48. Click 1. Sites by City to see the saved report we created earlier.

You can save as many reports as you like and they are private to you.

49. The report you choose will display here, along with its settings.

50. The interactive menu can be used in this way in many other areas of the platform.

If you need a Site added to the master database, contact your account administrator.
