16 STEPS
1. This tutorial shows an enhancement to the Assigning Rule called Already Assigned at that Time, which now takes drive time into account between sites for same day assignments.

2. If there is insufficient time for an official to get from the site of one match to the site of another match, the official will show as unavailable, with a rule violation for Already Assigned at that Time.

3. Let's look at an example in the Assignor Workspace.

4. Click Assigning Workspace

5. In this example, we have tenatively assigned Steven to a match on 3/18/25 at 8:30am at the Cooley Law School Stadium.

6. To see who is available for another 3/18/25 match at 10:15am at Friendship Park, click on the cell.

7. Our official Steven now shows as unavailable for this match. Click UNAVAILABLE (or the rule issue number) to see why.

8. Steven is not available because the drive time between these two sites would not allow him to arrive in time for the 10:15am match.

9. In most cases, the actual drive time would display and be used to determine if sufficient time existed to get from the first site to the second site.

10. However, if this calculation is still in progress, a distance of unknown (i.e. 9999) will estimate 120 minutes of drive time between the two sites.
Refresh the page after a few seconds to get the exact calculation if you see this estimated time.

11. If you try to tentatively assign this official to the match ...

12. ... both assignments will show the rule violation.

13. The rule violation details are displayed within the assignment focus at the top of the page.

14. Remember to specify the total match length for matches within a schedule. If left blank, the system will assume the match length is 90 minutes.

15. Remember to also use the SDA (same day assignments) column to see if officials have other matches on the same day.

16. Thank you for watching the tutorial on the enhanced Already Assigned at that Time assigning rule, which now accounts for drive time between two sites for same day assignments.
