Recheck Assigning Rule Violations

1. This tutorial reviews the feature of checking for updates to Assigning Rule Violations.

This feature can check for resolutions of existing violations and check for new violations.

2. For this example, we will look at the Demo-26 Sasquatch Sport Leagues competition.

Click an assignment in pink to see the assigning rule violations for this person and assignment.

3. The assignment focus shows this person has an assigning rule violation for SafeSport Certification.

4. To see all assignments that cannot be released due to assigning rule violations, click the Release Assignments icon.

5. Click the arrow next to Currently Not Releasable to expand this section.

6. We see there are 3 officials with assigning rule violations. Though this example shows all of them being for SafeSport Certification, this area will show violations across all assigning rules.

7. To see the details of an official's profile, such as blockouts entered or USSF Licenses, click the name of the person.

8. Under Assignments, we can see this tentative assignment.

9. Click USSF Licenses to see this person's current licenses.

10. We can see that no licenses are found, as well as the last date and time this person's information was pulled from the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.

11. Once an official completes a requirement, there may be a delay before this information appears in the Learning Center. Ref Insight does not control this delay.

12. There may also be a delay between the time a license appears in the Learning Center and when it is pushed to Ref Insight.

Click Request Update to bypass this delay. The update generally occurs within 5 minutes or less.

13. For this example, Linda Jones has completed her SafeSport requirement. We can check her profile to see this update. Click her name again.

14. We can see her SafeSport certification is now current.

15. Click Cancel to return to the previous page.

16. Let's check the next official -- Hernandez, Joseph. Click his name to see his USSF Licenses.

17. This official has also recently completed his SafeSport Certification.

18. Click Cancel to return to the previous page.

19. It is not necessary to check each person individually. To recheck violations across officials, click the checkbox next to the relevant names, or click the top checkbox to Select All.

20. Click Recheck Selected Violations

21. Expand this section again.

22. The two officials who completed their requirements have moved into the top section, where their assignments can be released.

Since Sandra Baker has not completed their SafeSport requirement yet, the assignment remains in this section.

23. Click Cancel to return to the assigning workspace.

24. Assigning rules can also be re-run at any time from within the Assigning workspace.

Click the Run Rules icon.

25. Click Run Rules again to confirm.

26. A new violation has been found for another official. Click the pink cell to see what this violation is.

27. An assigning rule violation can also be re-checked from the assignment level.

Click the magnifying glass in assignment focus to access this assignment.

28. Click View Assignment

29. Click Recheck Violations to see if this official completed their SafeSport requirement since the time they were assigned.

30. The official completed the requirement, the information was pushed to Ref Insight by the Learning Center, and the violation has now been cleared.

31. Click Release Assignment to release this assignment directly from this page.

32. Click Release Assignment again to confirm.

33. Click Cancel
