92 STEPS
1. This tutorial shows how to use the new Assignor Settings interface.
Assignor Settings are now configured at the Competition level, which offers easier setup across Schedules as well as additional properties to filter on.
2. To start, click Competitions
3. Basic information about each Competition is listed in the header row.
4. Click the magnifying glass to select the Competition.
5. Click Assignors
6. Existing assignors will be listed here. Let's add our first assignor to this Competition.
7. Click Details
8. Existing Assignor Profiles will be listed here. Click the plus sign icon to add an assignor.
9. Click the arrow next to Guidance for examples of assignor profiles and how limitations work for the properties shown.
10. Each property can be set to All -- where there are no limitations for that property, or Limited -- where the assignor is restricted to specific selections for that property.
Let's look at the properties that can now be restricted.
11. Three new properties have been added to what was previously available. In addition to Roles, Clubs, Teams, Sites, and Matches, the new properties Age Groups, Match Levels, and Genders are now also available.
12. Let's look at some examples of building assignor profiles in this new interface.
13. Click Assignor to expand the dropdown list of assignors in your account.
14. Click the name of the assignor to add. For this example, we will pick Sandra.
15. Sandra can assign everything across the Competition with no limitations. For this type of profile, All is chosen for each property, which is the default setting.
16. Click Create Assignor Profile
17. Sandra has been added as an assignor, and the settings for each property is shown. The Sanity Check column shows if there are any issues with how the properties are working together. For this example, there are no issues found.
18. Let's add another assignor with some limitations. Click the plus sign to add the next assignor.
19. Click Assignor to expand the dropdown list.
20. Let's select Joshua for this next example.
21. Since we plan on restricting what Joshua can assign, let's add a description for easy future reference. Click inside the Description area.
22. For Joshua, we will restrict age groups and roles and type that in the Description.
23. Next to Age Groups, click Limited.
24. Next to Roles, click Limited.
25. Click Create Assignor Profile.
We will specify the age groups and roles Joshua can do in the next step.
26. A summary of this assignor's permissions is shown below their profile.
27. The "Sanity Check" area lets us know if any of the filters are NOT set up correctly.
28. The properties that were set to Limited now show below the assignor's profile. Click the gear wheel to select the limitations of this property.
29. The age groups found within the matches across the Competition are displayed in the drawer that opens on the right side of the page.
Make your selections by checking the radio buttons next to the relevant age groups.
30. Select the relevant age groups from this Competition.
31.
32. We have selected the u13, u14, and u15 age groups.
Click Save when finished.
33. Reviewing what we've done so far, we have Limited the Age Groups Joshua can assign. He can assign the selected Age Groups of u13, u14, and u15.
34. Let's now select which Roles Joshua can assign, which we also indicated was Limited.
Click the gear wheel.
35. All the roles within this Competition are displayed. Select which roles Joshua can assign in this Competition by checking the relevant radio buttons.
36.
37.
38. Joshua can assign AR1, AR2, and the 4th official.
Click Save when finished.
39. Our Sanity Check has found no problems. Click cancel to return to the Details page.
40. Within this Competition, Sandra can assign everything.
Joshua has restrictions on Age Groups AND Roles. Joshua can assign specific roles for the specific age groups that were selected.
41. Let's add another assignor to look at another example of restrictions.
42. Select the assignor from the dropdown.
43. Let's add Bob.
44. We will restrict Bob to specific Match Levels and Sites, and type in a Description so we can reference it later.
45. Click Limited next to Match Levels
46. Click Limited next to Sites.
47. To see how issues are flagged and make edits to existing profiles, we'll also set the gender Bob can assign to Limited.
48. Click Create Assignor Profile when finished.
49. Click the gear wheel for each property to select what Bob can assign. Let's start with Match Level.
50. Click the radio button next to the relevant Match Levels from this Competition.
51.
52. Bob can assign the Match Levels of Bronze and Rec.
Click Save when finished.
53. Click the gear wheel to select which Sites can be assigned by Bob.
54. Select the relevant Sites from the Competition
55.
56.
57.
58. Click Save when finished
59. Note that Gender filters are NOT set up correctly.
60. To see how issues are flagged, we will click cancel and return to the overall details page.
61. Note the Sanity Check column indicates Issues found.
62. We indicated Gender was limited in Bob's profile, but neglected to select which Gender Bob can assign.
63. To edit Bob's profile, click the magnifying glass.
64. Click Edit Profile
65. We have options now: 1. Keep Gender as Limited, adjust the Description, and select what Gender Bob can assign, or 2) Click All to allow Bob to assign all Genders within the Competition.
For this example, we will change Gender back to All.
66. Click Save Changes when finished
67. Click cancel to return to the overall Details page.
68. To delete a profile, click the magnifying glass next to the Assignor's name.
69. Click Edit Profile
70. Click Delete Profile
71. Click Delete Profile again to confirm this action.
72. To ensure all the matches in each schedule have an Assignor that can assign that match, click Assignor Matrix.
73. Click the Schedule of interest.
74. The orange eye icon indicates which Schedule in the Competition is currently being viewed.
75. The Roles for this Schedule are displayed above the matches, along with whether the role has been set to Mandatory, if Self Assign is allowed, and if we set a Minimum Age for the role.
76. The Assignor Matrix shows what Joshua and Bob can assign from the profiles we created. It also shows the gaps where no assignor is listed.
Control which columns are displayed (like Age Group, Match Level, etc.) and their order from Actions/Columns.
77. Let's check the other Schedule in this Competition. Click the eye icon next to the Schedule to view it.
78. Here, we see no Assignor is listed under the Referee column.
79. Click cancel to return to the Details page. We'll add in an Assignor to fill these gaps.
80. Click the plus sign
81. Select the Assignor from the dropdown list.
82. Let's add Sandra back in again with no restrictions.
83. If Self-Assign is allowed and you have multiple Assignors within the Competition, the Self-Assign Priority area allows you to rank the order of the assignor of record for self-assign matches. The lower the number, the higher the priority.
84. We want Sandra to be the highest priority for self-assign matches in this Competition, so we will set her as priority 1.
85. Click Create Assignor Profile when finished.
86. Click Assignor Matrix to ensure there are no gaps and that all matches in each Schedule have an Assignor for each match role.
87. Let's check Demo Schedule 1 first.
88. There are no Assignor gaps found.
89. Let's check Demo Schedule 2
90. There are no Assignor gaps here either. Click cancel to return to the Details page.
91. If you already set up Assignor profiles using the old interface, they will automatically migrate to the new interface.
