66 STEPS
1. This tutorial shows how to put sites into Regions and create Assignor profiles that are limited by Region.
2. To start, let's create a Region and add sites to it. Click the arrow next to Settings to expand the dropdown.
3. Click Regions
4. Regions can be defined however you wish. Some examples are states, one or several cities, or districts.
Click Create Region to create a region.
5. Click Name to name your region.
6. For this example, we will call it Region 2.
7. Add a Description to help define it further.
8. Click Create
9. Now let's add sites to this region. Click the plus sign: Add Region Site.
10. Click Site to enter a search term.
11. You can search for a site name (or the "aka - also known as" site name), a city, or state. For this example, we will search for Michigan.
12. Click the relevant site to select it.
13. Click Create
14. If you choose to redefine your region, click Edit.
15. Let's refocus this region from Michigan to Detroit, Michigan and update the description.
16. Click Apply Changes
17. Since we don't need the current site anymore, click Edit.
18. Click Delete
19. Confirm this action by clicking Delete again.
20. Click Add Region Site to add some sites in Detroit, Michigan.
21. Click Site
22. Type detroit in Site and Press Enter to search for sites in this city.
23. Click the first relevant site to select it.
24. Click Create
25. Repeat these steps until you have all the relevant sites for this region.
26. We've now finished adding the relevant sites to this region.
27. With Regions defined and sites added to those regions, we can now limit assignors to be able to assign specific regions. As sites are added to this region, they are automatically included for the assignor.
28. Our next step is to set Region limits for an assignor.
Click Competitions.
29. For this example, we will use the 2025 NPSL Demo Competition.
Click the magnifying glass next to this competition.
30. Click Assignor Details
31. Click Add Assignor
32. Click Assignor to display the assignors within your account.
33. For this example, we will add Josh Ort as an assignor to this competition.
34. Add a Description if you like. For this example, we are adding Region 2 to describe what Josh can assign.
35. If this assignor can edit eligible assignments, meaning he can edit other assignor's assignments if he also has the ability to assign those matches (based on his profile limitations), turn on the toggle by moving it to the right.
36. If this assignor can release eligible assignments, meaning he can release other assignor's assignments if he also has the ability to release those assignments (based on his profile limitations), turn on the toggle by moving it to the right.
37. Click Limited next to Regions to limit the regions this assignor can assign.
38. Click Create Assignor Profile
39. Josh has now been added as an assignor to this competition. Note, however, that there are issues found with his profile.
40. Click the magnifying glass next to his name to resolve the issues.
41. The Sanity Check area describes any filters that are not set up correctly. For this example, we limited Josh's Regions, but have not yet defined those limitations.
42. Our Region filters are NOT setup correctly yet.
43. To define the Regions Josh can assign, click the gear wheel in the Regions area.
44. Our defined Regions for the account are displayed. For this example, we are limiting Josh to assign Region 2 only.
Click the checkbox to select Region 2.
45. Click Save
46. We have now defined which regions Josh can assign.
47. Click Cancel to return to the assignor details page.
48. There are now no issues found for Josh's assignor profile.
49. If you need to edit the profiles of multiple assignors, click Bulk Edit to open a grid of assignor settings.
50. For this example, we will edit Serafini's assignor profile to limit the regions she can assign.
51. Double Click the relevant cell to edit, or click the Edit button above the grid.
52. Click All under the Regions column.
53. Click Limited
54. Click Save
55. Click Cancel to return to the assignor details page.
56. Since we limited Serafini's profile for Regions, we need to define those regions to resolve the issues now found.
Click the magnifying glass next to her name.
57. Click the gear wheel to select the Regions.
58. Serafini can assign both Region 1 and Region 2. Click the checkboxes next to each region.
59. Click here
60. Click Save
61. Click Cancel
62. We have now limited these two assignors to specific regions. Assignors who collaborate on the same region can have the same region listed on their respective profiles.
63. Since we turned on the toggles for Edit and Release eligible assignments for both assignors in their profiles, they would be able to edit each other's assignments and release each other's assignments in addition to their own.
64. Click Cancel to return to the Competition page.
65. These assignors are now limited to assigning matches that only include sites within the regions we previously defined.
66. Thank you for watching the tutorial on defining Regions and limiting assignors to specific regions.
Assignors can be limited on any of the items shown here, or on a combination of items to give maximum flexibility for assigning competitions.
