1. This tutorial reviews the Reserve Officials Admin permission. When granted by a full-access administrator, it allows an assignor to accept or decline tournament reservation invitations on behalf of an official.
2. This permission is managed entirely at the account level by Full-Access Administrators. Note that Ref Insight Support does not grant or revoke it.
3. To start, click the arrow next to Security to expand the dropdown.
4. Click Permission Setup
5. Click Permission
6. Click Reserve Officials Admin
7. Click Select Admin
8. For this example, we will give this permission to assignor Ort, Josh
9. Click Save
10. Josh's name now appears in this area. You can set an end date if you like. To revoke the permission, click the garbage can.
11. If you have existing groups, the permission can also be granted to the group using the dropdown.
12. Let's look at an example to help understand what is being granted with this permission.
We'll use the Demo-26 Sasquatch Sport Leagues Competition as our example.
13. Click Reserve Officials to see current availability windows.
14. Click Manage Reserve Officials
15. Under Responses, we see three officials the invitation was sent to. They are all in NEW status.
Click the magnifying glass next to the relevant official.
16. The Reserve Officials Admin permission allows assignors to accept or decline on an official's behalf.
It is important to understand accepting an invitation on an official's behalf commits that official to the assignor's competition for those dates.
17. Committing an official makes them unavailable to every other assignor for that window of time.
Full-access administrators make the decision regarding who is granted this permission and can revoke it at any time.
18. To accept the invitation on behalf of an official, click Accept.
To decline the invitation on behalf of an official, click Decline.
19. Click Accept again to confirm this action.
20. Again, note that accepting on behalf of an official acts as a blockout for all other Competitions.
Assignors with this permission should be mindful and only accept on behalf of an official if they are planning to assign matches to them.
21. To return to the Reserve Officials area, click Cancel
22. The status of this official is now ACCEPTED for this availability window.
