29 STEPS

1. This tutorial reviews a new enhancement that lets you customize release dates and times for officials to self-assign.

Officials also have a new section showing what will be released for self-assign within the next 7 days.

2. To access these settings, go to the relevant Competition and click the magnifying glass next to it.

3. Click Self-Assign to see your current settings.

4. There are two new columns you can set: Self Assign after MD-Minus sets the date of the release, and Release Time can change the default setting of 12:00am to a different time.

5. To change these settings for one match role only, click the edit icon for that role.

6. Click Self Assign Available on MD minus

7. For this example, we will choose 5 days.

This means that matches will be available for self-assign, 5 days before the date of a match within this schedule.

8. Click Release Time

9. For this example we will choose 08:00 AM. Note all times are in Eastern (ET).

10. Click Save Changes

11. Our changes now display in the table.

12. To change these self-assign release settings across multiple match roles or for multiple schedules from a grid, click Schedules.

13. Click the magnifying glass next to any schedule listed here for your Competition.

14. Click Self Assign

15. Click Grid Edit

16. We can see what we just entered for the Referee. Double-Click a cell to edit it.

17. You can choose the same number of MD-minus days across match roles or something different for each match role.

18. Similarly, you can choose the same release time in Eastern Time for all match roles or something different for each.

19. Click 08:30 AM

20. Click 08:30 AM

21. For this example, we decided to let the AR positions be self-assigned 6 days before a given match date and the Referee position 5 days before. We also chose different release times for the Referee and ARs for demonstration purposes.

22. Remember to add a pool of officials to your self-assign settings.

23. You can also add minimum and maximum years of experience, or ratings, as part of the eligibility requirements.

24. Once you are happy with your settings, click Save.

25. If you have multiple schedules in your Competition, you can go directly to one schedule at a time, or move the Edit All Schedules toggle to the right to see the grids for all schedules on this page.

26. This demo Competition only has one schedule in it, so there are no others to display.

27. We are now in the Officials Portal so you can see the new section added to their Self Assign area.

Based on your MD-Minus and release time settings, this section shows Upcoming Releases in the next 7 days.

28. They can see the release date and time in ET, the Competition, number of matches scheduled to be released on that date and time, and the actual match dates.

While they cannot claim them yet, they can monitor this area and plan accordingly.

29. Thank you for watching the tutorial on customizing the release dates and times for Self-Assign.
