50 STEPS
1. This tutorial reviews the Refine Assignor Permissions feature. We will see how to use the recently added Club option as an organizing principle and how to create multiple profiles for an assignor within a schedule.
2. To start, click Competitions
3. For this example, we will use the Westchester Youth Soccer League as the Competition. Click the magnifying glass to open the Competition.
4. Click Schedule Resources
5. Let's add another assignor to one of these schedules. Click the arrow next to Add Assignors to expand the dropdown.
6. Double Click the name of the assignor to move it to the right side of the shuttle. For this example, we will add Sandra Serafini.
7. For this example, we will add this assignor only to the U9/U10 schedule. Double Click any schedule name to move it to the right side, or use the double arrow (>>) to select all the schedules.
8. Click Save Assignors
9. Sandra Serafini has now been added as an assignor to the U9/U10 schedule. Click Refine Assignor Permissions to set what this assignor can do within this schedule.
10. Click the name of the assignor to select it.
11. By default, adding an assignor allows them to assign all roles, clubs, teams, matches, and sites.
12. To set limits on what can be assigned by this assignor, click the arrow next to Add Filters to expand the dropdown.
13. If the assignor can assign all the roles for this schedule, they do not need to be selected since the default setting of all roles will apply. If the assignor should be limited to assigning specific roles, double-click on the role.
14. We will now select 4 clubs for this assignor to assign. See the tutorial on Linking Clubs to a Competition to use this area. Double Click the relevant clubs to move them to the right side of the shuttle.
15. Double Click the next selection
16. Double Click the next selection
17. Double Click the next selection
18. Click Save Filters
19. Note there are no Teams selected. Let's select all the teams for these clubs from the quick add page and also add a description to this assignor profile.
20. Click Edit
21. Click Description
22. Type in a Description for this profile.
23. Move the toggle for All Teams to the right.
24. Click Apply Changes
25. We can create multiple profiles for an assignor within a schedule. For this example, we want to add a few select matches to back up the regular assignor. To add another profile for this assignor, click Add Assignor.
26. Click Select Person to expand the dropdown list of assignors.
27. Type the name of the assignor in Select Person and Press Enter.
28. Click the same name of the assignor to create another set of permissions for this person.
29. Let's add a Description to differentiate this profile from the one that already exists. Click Description.
30. Type in a description for this profile.
31. Click Create
32. Click the arrow next to Add Filters so we can select the specific Rye Brook matches for this assignor's second profile.
33. Double Click the relevant match.
34. Scroll down the list to find additional relevant matches and double-click them.
35. Double Click
36. Click Save Filters when finished.
37. We have now created a second profile for this assignor where they can assign all roles for these 3 specific matches, regardless of where they are played. These matches will be in addition to the first profile created for the 4 clubs specified.
38. The two profiles with their descriptions can be seen on the left.
39. Click on a profile to see the settings.
To review which assignors are listed on each match for this schedule and ensure there are no gaps, click View Assigning Matrix.
40. We set a filter to focus on assignor Serafini. Assignors who are able to assign each match in this schedule are listed under the match role columns.
41. An interactive menu is available to format this report as you prefer. Click Actions for various formatting options.
42. Setting a Control Break is one option.
43. Control Breaks can be set for any column. For this example, we will choose Home Team.
44. Choose additional columns to nest a control break. Click Apply when finished.
45. The Assigning Matrix includes matches across all assignor profiles that are listed for this schedule.
46. To see if an assignment has been made for a specific match role, move the Include Assigned Icon toggle to the right.
47. The assigned icon is displayed below the names of the assignor within each match role.
48. Click Actions to use the filter with the operator "is null" to see if any of the match roles are missing assignors. There are many options for filtering, sorting, and organizing this report from the interactive menu.
49. Click Cancel to return to the Assignor profiles page.
50. Repeat these steps for other schedules.
