47 STEPS
1. This tutorial shows how to link assignments into a bundle.
A bundle is a set of assignments for the same day, at the same location, for one official.
Linking assignments forces the official to accept or decline all assignments within the bundle.
2. To start, click the arrow next to Assignor Workflow to expand the dropdown.
3. Click Assigning Workspace
4. To maximize your view of the workspace, collapse the menu by clicking on the X at the top left of the page.
5. Let's use the Lakeville Father's Day Cup as our example.
We'll begin by filtering the games occurring on a specific date. Click Actions to expand the dropdown menu.
6. Click Filter
7. Click the dropdown under Column to expand it.
8. Click Date to select it.
9. Leave the Operator as "equals".
10. Click the Calendar icon to open the calendar.
11. Let's choose September 23rd as our date.
12. Click Apply
13. Now let's choose one location. Click the Location column header to see the locations for this date.
14. We happen to have a crew assigned to Steve Michaud Park already, so let's see what other games are available at this location on this date to link them as a bundle.
Click Steve Michaud Park to set this filter.
15. We can now easily see there is a match at the same location at 11:00am and want to copy this crew over to this match.
With your mouse, click the Copy Crew icon, then drag and drop it to any cell of the match.
15b. Drop
16. Using the Swap function (displayed at the top of the page), swap the officials into different roles if you like. With your mouse, click the cell with the official's name, then drag and drop it on the new cell.
16b. Drop
17. Let's copy this same crew to the 1:00pm match and swap their roles. Click the cell to ensure availability of the officials at this time before copying them. Or just copy the crew over to see if any assigning rule violations occur.
18. With your mouse, click the Copy Crew icon and drag and drop to a cell within the new match.
18b. Drop
19. Drag and drop the relevant officials into their new roles to swap them.
19b. Drop
20.
20b. Drop
21. Now that our assignments are complete we can link them. Expand the menu by clicking the Main Navigation icon.
22. Under Assignor Workflow, click the arrow next to Tools to expand that dropdown.
23. Click Link Assignments
24. Linkable Assignments shows assignments that can be put into a bundle: where one official is assigned to multiple matches on the same day, at the same site.
The number of matches and start times for each official is displayed here.
25. Select individual officials you want to link assignments for, or click the Select All checkbox to select all officials.
26. Click Create Bundles For Selected
27. Click Create Bundles For Selected again to confirm this action.
28. The assignments for each official are now linked and are displayed in the Existing Bundles section. The Bundle Status is in tentative.
Click the magnifying glass next to an official if you want to release these assignments from here.
29. Note the Bundle status is tentative even though the 9:00am match is in assigned status.
30. If you need to unlink one or more assignments from this bundle, select the relevant matches and click Unlink Selected Assignments.
31. To release the assignments as a bundle, first click the select all checkbox to select all the matches.
32. Then click Release Assignments
33. Click Release Assignments again to confirm this action.
34. The bundle is now in assigned status, as are all linked matches within the bundle.
35. You can accept, decline, or revoke the bundle status from this page if needed.
36. Click cancel to return to the previous page.
37. You can either repeat these steps to release remaining bundles from here or go to the Release Assignments page to release them in bulk.
38. Let's go back to the Assigning Workspace to see how linked assignments are represented.
39. Assignments that are linked into a bundle have a links icon next to the person's name within the assigning workspace so they can be identified quickly.
40. To release assignments in bulk, including linked assignments, click on the arrow next to Tools to expand the dropdown.
41. Click Release Assignments
42. You can release Standard or Linked assignments in bulk from this page. Standard assignments are stand-alone, individual assignments. The page defaults to this view.
Click Linked to switch the display to existing bundles in tentative status.
43. Existing bundles of linked assignments are now displayed, including the official, the site, the number and the start times of matches linked within the bundle.
44. Select the relevant bundles, or all the bundles using the top checkbox, then click Release Selected Assignments.
45. Click Release Selected Assignments again to confirm this action.
46. The confirmation banner confirms these linked assignment bundles have been released.
