26 STEPS

1. This tutorial demonstrates a new feature in the Assigning Workspace that identifies updates to assignable matches. This new feature gives visibility to updates so it's clear when workspace details need to be refreshed.

2. To start, click the arrow next to Assignor Workflow to expand the dropdown.

3. Click Assigning Workspace

4. Collapse the left menu to get better visibility of your workspace.

5. A new section called Workspace Detail Changes has been placed between the assignment focus and the workspace.

Click the arrow to expand this section.

6. Workspace details are held in cache to increase speed and provide stability while the workspace is in use.

But details can change behind the scenes, such as match dates or times, match status changes like postponed, canceled, or rescheduled.

7. New matches may be added or outdated ones removed. There could also be changes to an assignor's profile that adds or removes assignable matches.

8. It's important to know not only IF changes have been made, but WHAT those changes are.

This section provides that visibility.

9. This section gets updated in one of three ways:
1. The web browser gets refreshed, or 2. You leave the page and come back to it, or
3. Clicking the Check for Updates button.

10. Click Check for Updates if this area is empty or to see if any additional updates have been made since this page was last loaded.

11. Each column provides helpful information.

The Match Key is hyperlinked. Click on a match key if you need to go to that specific match within the schedule.

12. The Old Values of the match are listed here.

13. The New Values are listed here, with specific items identified by the red warning icon.

14. For example, the first match had the date and time updated from May 29 at 8:30pm to May 27 at 8:15pm.

15. The second match had the location and field updated.

16. The third match was changed from Postponed to Scheduled.

17. Let's see how the details get updated.

Here are the old values of the first match.

18. Click Refresh Workspace Details to update all the details of your workspace, including this match.

Clicking this button will update both the Matches and Officials sides of the page.

19. You can also use the Refresh Workspace Details icon on the Matches side of the page to make these updates.

20. All updates identified have been updated.

21. While we were working, an update was made behind the scenes to Postpone a match. Clicking Check for Updates identified it.

It is good practice to Check for Updates when you first arrive to the assigning workspace and before leaving.

22. If any additional changes are identified, click Refresh Workspace Details to update your workspace.

23. No caching occurs on the Officials side of the page, meaning Availability is updated whenever a blue cell on the Matches side of the page is clicked.

However, updates may have occurred to your pools, either manually or through the Pool Builder.

24. A Refresh Workspace Details icon has also been added here for your convenience. Clicking the icon also refreshes the workspace details on both the Matches and Officials sides of the page.

25. In short, clicking the green Refresh Workspace Details button, or the icon on either side of the page, will refresh details for both Matches and Officials.

26. Thank you for watching the tutorial on Checking for Updates and Refreshing Workspace Details.
